Patient Case Studies
Eileen Anderson
My husband, Norman was diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma on his face at the beginning of the new millennium. We lived through a very difficult 3 years of operations, chemotherapy and radiotherapy then having a prosthesis made and fitted for the part of face that was removed.
He never lost his sense of humour nor his love of life.
He fought very hard to stay alive and beat this dreaded disease but alas it was not to be. He was in and out of the (old) Beatson many times and I heartily support the Beatson Pebble Appeal just as the staff at the Beatson supported us during the darker days and for future generations who hopefully will be cancer free due to the research done there.
